What Is Vindale Research?
Taking surveys and testing products online are definitely a quick and easy way to make money online.
However, some market research companies out there are making it quite difficult and laborious for most panelists to achieve this primary aim.
Vindale research is one of those market research companies that have raised controversy among panelist.
On some review websites, they have increasing negative reviews and complaints filed against them due to their mode of operation, fishy activities and other claims by members.
Although this company has a long history of regular and timely payment till today, still some members don’t seem to like the website and this is the reason why this article “Vindale research reviews” is written to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of this survey website.
Update: This review was first written back in 2016. Then there was alarming rate of negative reviews from members of this survey website. However, a lot has changed now and Vindale is coming up among one of the best survey websites available. This isn’t a guarantee though, since anything is bound to happen.
Who Is Vindale Research (History)
Vindale research has been online since 2005 and is recorded as one of the oldest market research company.
Vindale is a New York based company managed by Mr Nathaniel Einrich and a subsidiary to sayforexample, inc. which is a company that evolves online market research and advertising platforms for B2C and B2B markets.
Aside Vindale research, this parent company, sayforexample.com operates other survey sites which include: survey4profit.com and 20in20.com

Upon joining this website, member can receive a free $1 sign-up bonus.
They also reward in cash either via your PayPal account or by check whenever you reach the minimum payout threshold of $50.
Vindale Research BBB (better business bureau) Rating
For those that don’t know how BBB operates. In a nutshell, BBB is a non-profit organization that focuses on advancing market place trust.
One of their major functions is to resolve a consumer dispute by contacting the business in question and offering to mediate the dispute.
They also have a rating system ranging from A+ to F which is given to business that meets their accreditation standard.
Although Vindale research is not directly accredited by BBB, but it’s parent company, sayforexample, inc. is accredited with rating A- and it has Vindale research as its alternate business name.
IMPORTANT: Not being accredited by BBB doesn’t entirely make a website a scam sites. This is because, there are lots of legitimate companies out there that still operate completely without BBB accreditation. However, accreditation from BBB boosts a website’s reputation.

Vindale Research Reward
As said earlier, this market research company rewards their members in cash once they reach the minimum payout threshold of $50.
Payment can be received through check or via your PayPal account.
Vindale Research Tips
- Most survey websites have a lower minimum payout, take for instance “prize label” has a minimum payout of $5. So, if you know you don’t have the patience to wait till you get to Vindale’s $50 minimum threshold, please don’t join Vindale research.
- Stay clear from surveys that pay less than 50 cents since they may take more of your time.
- Be honest when answering the pre-qualifying and the main surveys.
- Make sure you have a separate email address for all survey related websites because you will be getting tons of emails from them.
Why People Think Vindale Research is a SCAM
- They use members effort for their own gain
Vindale research gets member to sign up for some paid trial offers and afterwards shares its commissions with these members.
Most members are beguiled into thinking that this site has high payout of $5-$75 per survey but in fact, what constitutes that high amount is actually the amount paid by members for the trial offer coupled with Vindale’s commission.
Whereas this might seem right to some members and as a great way of earning cool money, some members however have a different perception of it.
Also, some members mistakenly fail to cancel their trial package and end up getting charged over and over again. This can be frustrating. Therefore, if you must try this, you must be careful and mindful of when the trial period ends.
- High minimum payout
Unlike other survey sites with low minimum payout, Vindale research has an insanely high minimum payout of $50 and the difficulty experienced by members in getting to this $50 threshold have made a lot of people conclude that Vindale is a Scam.
Sincerely speaking, Vindale research surveys are just like surveys from other panels with low cash rewards.
At times, they don’t pay as much as they claim and sometimes, the amount of money paid for some of the surveys taken are not worth the time spent.
- Peoples reviews about vindale research at consumer affairs
Going to consumer affairs, you will discover that a lot of people had left quite a number of complaints about this site, with a handful of them who still believe that the site is worthwhile.
The incessant negative reviews about this site have made many consider vindale a scam.
- Rampant survey disqualification
Vindale research often disqualify penalists in their pre-qualifying question which can sometimes take up to 20 minutes. This is huge time wasted!
What Other members of Vindale Research Are Saying
The best way to determine if a website is legit or scam is by reading the reviews written by current members of the website.

Everybody has to read the rules first for a Survey…If you completed a Survey and it will say on Vindale, it can take up to 5 business days to get into your account..Usually the Company is pretty honest..
If you are doing Daily Survey for $1.00,and there may be 3 or 4 you may qualify and you should get credited for all 4 Surveys..Sometimes i get credited for 1 or 2..
I know its not fair, but realize there is billions of people on the earth and everyone is trying to make a few cents…even me..
I get frustrated at this Survey Company as well, but seems that they are one of the most honest Survey Companies around…
I give this Company 5 Stars out of 5

I just finished my 3rd survey of the day and it seems to disappear when you submit it. I have received credit for just 1 of the last 7 surveys I completed. Survey companies have found a way to get our surveys and not pay for them. Vindale doesn’t seem to care. This is the worst I have seen it get plus my spam folders have tripled because these survey companies get our e-mails and off they go. Vindale has so many rules for the survey takers but not many at all for the surveys themselves
Thomas Nlessen, “Rating 1/5”
The number of emails i get stating that I’m eligible to complete a survey and then spend 15 minutes answering questions to be greeted with you can’t take this survey. This is a complete waste of time.
Rod Smith, “Rating 5/5”
Never get the chance to even attempt a survey worth more than .75,and have only been getting paid for 7 out of 10 surveys that I complete and today I checked to see how much money I had accumulated only to find they had taken $1.00 back from me. Not running an honest company.
Jana Roberson, “Rating 3/5”
You get started just enough to get enjoying the survey then for some dumb reason it disqualifies you it takes more valuable time away in my day to make money. In short my housework is not getting done. Please give me surveys I can start and definitely Finish. I started two hours ago and have made .43.Thank You, I appreciate Vindale Research!

After 20 minutes just on 1 survey it says you don’t qualify. BS!!!! They should at least give something for when you’re disqualified a couple cents at least for all our time when here we really completed the whole survey and collected all the data they needed. I’m 100% honest when i take these surveys so i guess if you lie you may qualify? Come on vindale get with it!!!! How about Showing that you care for all us people and give us a few cents for disqualification even a couple cents. You make enough money from all these research companies to be be able to afford a few cents. Just another company taking advantage of people.

JUST READ THIS IF YOUR NEW TO VINDALE
I see a lot of reviews saying Vindale is a scam or it takes like a year to get $50, well i signed up october 2019 and have made over $250 as of feb 2020 already without being on the website constantly. I don’t understand how it can take 4months to get $9 (based on a review i saw) when there is a daily survey option of 10 per day at anywhere from $0.75 to $1.50 which means you can get nearly $10 everyday.
The website is 100% legit and i’ve been paid $50 five times. There are a few bugs such as surveys not loading or same surveys popping up over and over but if that happens just simply don’t click on it? instead of complaining like kids on a review website to make the website look bad. I’ve had support back from Vindale and they are very helpful so don’t listen to the 1star reviews stating “ ThIs WeBsITe iS SuCh A SCaM! TakEs mE 10 YeArs To GeT $2” because that’s BS. 🙂

Vindale Research You need $50 to Cash out
Vindale Research is the cheapest survey site. Their surveys are for just 27 cents sometimes & are always long boring srveys too for just pennies!! They take a long time to reply to complaints, if at all. Many times I’ve had to resend my complaints of not being paid after completing a survey right to the end. Then their last page says, Aw man your results are Unsuccessful. They have the Worst cash out too!! You can’t cash out Till you get $50.00 & that’s the highest ever to cash out on any survey site!! I’ve been on there more than a yr & am still not at their sky high cash out rate of $50.00 yet. Most times it’s just a total waste of time trying to qualify!! I can’t wait till I finally reach that $50.00 cash out & I’m gone from there for Good!! Totally Not worth my time!!!

SEEMS LIKE A SCAM NOW. I HOPE I’M WRONG.
It seemed to be going great, but now that I’m less than $5 away from payout, suddenly I’m mysteriously unable to complete any surveys. There is always some kind of technical difficulty it seems. None of the links to daily $1 survey you can allegedly take multiple times per day work any longer. Sometimes I spend 15 minutes completing a survey and then suddenly when I’m about to finish, poof! An error occurs. There is nothing wrong with my phone, computer, or internet connection. And on the off chance that no technical issue occurs, I get a message that I haven’t qualified for the survey after I’ve answered all the questions. Oh and I’ve managed to complete 3 of them, but it says it may take up to 5 days for payment to be recorded. This could be a giant coincidence, but until I actually get paid $50, I tend to believe they just don’t want to (or can’t) actually pay people.
The pros and Cons of Vindale Research
- Vindale research has a nice referral program where you can earn $5 for each person that sign up through your referral link.
- Unlike other survey sites where you earn points for any survey you take, here members are rewarded with cash payment either via PayPal or check.
- They pay quite well between $5 and $75 when you complete their evaluation survey this also gives you the opportunity to text a new product or service.
- Earning money on Vindale is not just limited to surveys. There are other different ways you can earn money with this site.
- This site is properly designed and with a friendly dashboard which is easy to navigate.
- Their cash out limit of $50 is ridiculously high
- Vindale research is not a worldwide earning program. It’s only opened for people in UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
- They often disqualify members in the pre-qualifying surveys
- They have low paying surveys which make it seem impossible getting the $50 minimum payout.
- You must be highly committed and invest a lot of time in order to succeed.
Although members complained a lot regarding some shady activities on this website, however Vindale Research has improved over the years.
From the review section of this Vindale Research reviews, you’ll find out that some members are pissed off as a result of low paying surveys offered by Vindales, high minimum payout and the alarming rate of survey disqualification.
On the other hand, if getting paid from a website is the major factor that qualifies a website as legit then I can confidently say that Vindale research is 100% legitimate. Since they pay their members (who have successfully reached the minimum payout threshold) without delay, I don’t think it should be called a scam.
However, if you want to succeed here, you must be patient, hardworking and dedicated in completing their surveys and other earning opportunities offered by them.
