INTRODUCTION

Taking surveys online is definitely a quick and easy way to make money online. However, some market research companies out there are making it quite difficult and laborious for most panelists to achieve this primary aim.

Vindale research is one of those market research companies that have raised controversy among panelist. They have alarming negative reviews and complaints filed against them due to their mode of operation, fishy activities and other claims by members. Although this company has a long history of regular and timely payment till today, still some members don’t seem to like this website for the following reasons i will discuss later in this article.

HISTORY

Vindale research has been online since 2005 and is recorded as one of the oldest market research company. It is a New York based company managed by Mr Nathaniel Einrich and a subsidiary to sayforexample, inc. which is a company that evolves online market research and advertising platforms for B2C and B2B markets. Aside Vindale research, this parent company, sayforexample.com operates other survey sites which include: survey4profit.com and 20in20.com

Vindale research accepts members from US, UK, Canada, and Australia and has paid its members over $5,000,000 since inception. In addition, it’s a free and legit website where members can join without paying a dime. They give out a $2 sign-up bonus for new members. They also reward in cash either via your PayPal account or by check whenever you reach the minimum payout threshold of $50.

Vindale Research BBB (better business bureau) Rating

For those that don’t know how BBB operates. In a nutshell, BBB is a non-profit organization which focuses on advancing market place trust. One of their major functions is to resolve a consumer dispute by contacting the business in question and offering to mediate the dispute. They also have a rating system ranging from A+ to F which is given to business that meets their accreditation standard.

Although Vindale research is not directly accredited by BBB, but it’s parent company, sayforexample, inc. is accredited with rating A- and it has Vindale research as its alternate business name.

IMPORTANT: It might interest you that websites not accredited by BBB doesn’t entirely make them a scam sites because there are lots of legitimate companies out there that operate completely without BBB accreditation. However, accreditation from BBB boosts a website’s reputation.

Vindale Research Reward

As said earlier, this market research company rewards their members in cash once they reach the minimum payout threshold of $50. Payment can be received through check or via your PayPal account.

Why People Think Vindale Research is a SCAM

  • They use members effort for their own gain

Vindale research gets member to sign up for some paid trial offers and afterwards shares its commissions with these members. Most members are beguiled into thinking that this site has high payout of $5-$75 per survey but in fact, what constitutes that high amount is actually the amount paid by members for the trial offer coupled with Vindale’s commission. Whereas this might seem right to some members and as a great way of earning cool money, some members however have a different perception of it. Also, some members mistakenly fail to cancel their trial package and end up getting charged over and over again. This can be frustrating. Therefore, if you must try this, you must be careful and mindful of when the trial period ends.

  • High minimum payout:

Unlike other survey sites with low minimum payout, Vindale research has an insanely high minimum payout of $50 and the difficulty experienced by members in getting to this $50 threshold have made a lot of people conclude that Vindale is a Scam. Sincerely speaking, Vindale research surveys are just like surveys from other panels with low cash rewards. At times, they don’t pay as much as they claim and sometimes, the amount of money paid for some of the surveys taken are not worth the time spent.

  • Peoples reviews about vindale research at consumer affairs.

Going to consumer affairs, you will discover that a lot of people had left quite a number of complaints about this site, with a handful of them who still believe that the site is worthwhile. The incessant negative reviews about this site have made many consider vindale a scam.

  • Rampant survey disqualification

Vindale research often disqualifies penalists in their pre-qualifying question which can sometimes take up to 20 minutes. This is huge time wasted!

What Other members of Vindale Research Are Saying

The best way to determine if a website is legit or scam is by reading the reviews written by current members of the website. This will help you make a clear decision whether or not to join the website. In this article, I’ve extracted some recent reviews of Vindale research on consumeraffairs.com. Below are the reviews of some members of Vindale research from around the world, please go through them and see what the existing members are saying about Vindale.

Diane of Colo, IA on Oct. 21, 2016 “Rating 1/5”
I did one initial survey for which I “earned” (the teaser, apparently) $2.75. After that, I clicked on dozens of surveys, and after wasting a bunch of time on them, I get a message saying it was no longer available or I didn’t qualify. One of them I completed just after it came into my email box, and the message I got at the end said it was no longer available. Yet, I was asked a bunch of questions and wasted my time answering them. The system is purposely vague–you are told that sometimes you have to complete a pre-survey before you get to the actual survey, but it is never clear if you are filling out a pre-survey (to see if you qualify) or an actual survey. Seriously–don’t waste your time with this. Spending 15 minutes of your time to earn less than $2, only to find out that they took your fifteen minutes and you get nothing is INFURIATING! It’s a SCAM. I don’t know it could be called anything else. The old bait and switch.

Before I signed up they showed surveys you could complete that ended up being totally false. Example: Do a 50 minute survey and make $23. Well I never saw anything close to this. Most are make 30 CENTS after completing a 30 MINUTE survey. And most of the time when you are actually close to completing that survey you will get a “Sorry you do not qualify” message after they got all the info they were looking for. I feel this is a total SCAM!!!!!

Have been dealing with Vindale for just over two weeks and accumulated just of $6.50. Wow! Like so many others have answers a bunch of question only to be told you don’t qualify. But I thought I was doing the survey, apparently not. Still can’t figure out how to cash out which is another grip. All they are paying is 75c per survey, that is pathetic. Someone is making good money from these surveys and it sure isn’t the people doing them. Don’t ever deal with this company. You will get burnt.

The pros and Cons of Vindale Research

Pros

  • Vindale research has a nice referral program where you can earn $5 for each person that sign up through your referral link.
  • Unlike other survey sites where you earn points for any survey you take, here members are rewarded with cash payment either via PayPal or check.
  • They pay quite well between $5 and $75 when you complete their evaluation survey this also gives you the opportunity to text a new product or service.
  • Earning money on Vindale is not just limited to surveys. There are other different ways you can earn money with this site.
  • This site is properly designed and with a friendly dashboard which is easy to navigate.

Cons

  • Their cash out limit of $50 is ridiculously high
  • Vindale research is only opened for people in UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
  • They often disqualify members for surveys
  • They have low paying surveys which make it seem impossible getting the $50 minimum payout.
  • You must be highly committed and invest a lot of time in order to succeed.

Conclusion

Some members of this website get infuriated as a result of low paying surveys offered by Vindales, high minimum payout and the alarming rate of survey disqualification.  On the other hand, if getting paid from a website is the major factor that qualifies a website as legit then Vindale research is 100% legitimate. Since they pay their members (who have successfully reached the minimum payout threshold) without delay, I don’t think it should be called a scam.

However, if you want to succeed here and be comfortable with their low paying surveys, you must be patient, hardworking and dedicated in completing their surveys and other earning opportunities offered by them.

Also ensure you read their privacy policy regularly as it is updated often and always stick to their rules to avoid your account being terminated.
